Happy Tuesday! I had the pleasure of speaking to my son's class about taking care of their teeth and gums. What a fun day this was! As you see from the picture, I try to make learning fun and feel that this is always the best way I learned and retained information. I had forty-one "little dentists in training" attending my lecture. Krista, my assistant, and Henrietta the Hippo were so kind to accompany me on my adventure. The children thought it was hilarious that Henrietta had a spitting problem (she shot out water).
Parents and Teachers, Dentists or Hygienists in your area will love to volunteer to speak to your children's class. Health Care Professionals love to educate and talk to anyone who will listen to them talk about teeth and gums. Also, they love to bring goodies, as you can see in the picture. I brought dentist dress up masks, hats, gloves and toothbrushes and gauze. The children learned about having healthy teeth without even knowing they were learning!
