Happy Wednesday!  Even though I am a dentist, I still had to face the first dental appointment with my son.  To help with possible fear, we went with my son's friend, the daughter of my friend from dental school, a pediatric dentist (seen on the right).  She is being looked at by Dr. Eberhardt's dental practice partner at the time, Dr. Sue Nimer.  Notice the play equipment in the waiting area, this helped both children feel immediately at ease when they walked into the office.  When looking for a dentist, make sure you like their credentials, chairside manner with your children, as well as the child friendly office with toys and a caring staff.  My sister that lives in California said that her pediatric dentist for her boys has toys and game consoles in the waiting area (for all ages).  They hand out coupons for restaurants and get stickers when they are cavity free!  All of our children love going to the dentist thanks to our dental practices that we visit!
